Radical Decision from Intel After 20 Years

With a radical decision Intel officially closes a period. Intel has announced its decision about not realizing the Intel Developer Forum from now on, which it has been organizing for 20 years. This news is quite surprising for the world of technology and information. With this sudden and unexpected decision, it can be said that an era has come to an end. Ending of such a huge organization undoubtedly will have impacts for the company and for the technology developers and entrepreneurs.  On the other hand, it is curious about how this will be met by the developers and entrepreneurs.

There have been rumors about the possibility of Intel’s wish to end to the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) for a few months.  However, no one expected such a decision anyway. According to a statement made by the Intel to AnandTech, Intel plans to continue in a different manner in the future. With this speech it is thought that the company may want to change the PC-focused way of working.

Another unclear point is that how Intel will manage the innovations that it will continue to develop. Of course, the company’s decision to cancel the Intel Developer Forum does not mean giving an end to producing new innovations. It is estimated by the Innovation networks that Intel is now planning to organize launches at different times during the year, rather than organizing just one big forum. This decision can help the company to be young and dynamic and keep up with the rapidly developing age of technology. On the other hand, it means different activities that need to be constantly monitored for the developers.
