30 million Chinese tourists will go abroad this summer


Within the scope of the “One Belt and One Road” project, there expected an an increase in the number of Chinese tourists traveling abroad. China’s largest tour operator, C-trip company, announced that 30 million Chinese tourists are going to travel abroad this summer. Yang Shiaoli, deputy general manager of C-trip company, announced that 30 million Chinese tourists will go abroad for vacation this summer according to their research.

It is stated that Thailand, Japan, Singapore, USA and Indonesia are among the countries most preferred by the Chinese tourists. It is also stated that the demand for Russia and the United Arab Emirates is increasing.

The C-trip official noted that the Beijing administration‘s “One Belt and One Road ” project, which aims to revive the historic Silk Road, has increased mutual visa facilitation on this route, citing Chinese tourists expecting further acceleration in the increase in travel abroad.

Chinese tourists became the most spending tourists in the world ranking of tourists spending by spending $ 261 billion last year. About 21 percent of the world’s tourism expenditures are made by the Chinese. The number of tourists going abroad from this country has increased by more than 10 percent every year in the last 12 years.

A number of countries, including the United States, Canada and Singapore, have launched the Chinese visas for 10 years. More than 60 countries provide Chinese citizens with an electronic visa.

Moreover, Chinese airline companies have begun to arrange additional flights to 260 international destinations last year. According to the specialists the reason of the increase in the number of Chinese tourists going abroad depends on the appreciation of the Chinese currency and the incentives of Chinese government in the tourism sector, and of course the visa facilities provided.
