Brazilian cosmetics giant Natura Cosméticos SA took over famous cosmetics brand The Body Shop. One of the biggest cosmetics companies of Brazil, Natura Cosméticos SA, announced that it took over The Body Shop from L’Oréal. Natura, that has The Body Shop under his roof, also incorporates with the famous beauty brand of Australia Aeso and has created a global, purpose focused multi branded cosmetics group.
Natura Cosméticos SA, which is the leader of the Brazilian cosmetics industry, announced that it concluded the takeover of The Body Shop from L’Oréal in the first week of September.
Natura Cosméticos SA has taken a decisive step in taking over The Body Shop and becoming a global cosmetics group based on ethical business practices, stipulating sustainability and creating a positive social impact.
With the purchase of The Body Shop brand, Natura is planning to establish a global, multi branded, stronger cosmetics group with its three brands that consist of Natura, Aesop and The Body Shop. These brands are active in 70 countries with a total of 17,000 employees and 3,200 stores. Natura Cosméticos SA has growth its position in the global cosmetics industry. Natura Cosméticos SA announced the adoption of the agreement on 9 June.
Guilherme Leal, one of the chairmen of the Board of Directors of Natura Cosméticos SA said that they are delighted to include The Body Shop in the Natura group. He has created a new force working for good while creating a combination of companies with common goals.
