The artificial intelligence-assisted app named Seeing Al which was offered by Microsoft for the iOS platform is aiming to help blind people identify the world.
The new application of Microsoft, Seeing AI, aims to help visually impaired people identify the world using their smartphones and artificial intelligence-based software. The Seeing AI app is available for free only for the iOS platform.
The users will be able to find out who is (if pre-defined) or the apparent emotional state of the moment by directing the phone’s camera to the opposite person. Besides, it will be possible to show an object and learn what it is.
This technology was first exhibited by Microsoft in March 2017. Now at least it can be used on smartphones running iOS. There is not yet a date for the Android version of this app.
In addition to reading and scanning artificial intelligence documents, this app can also distinguish dollar banknotes. It can be said that it is very useful in this respect, as the dollar notes are of the same size and colors, making it difficult for visually impaired people to work. You can access the Seeing AI application from the iTunes App Store.
