OPEC and non-OPEC countries are going to meet in order to discuss the reasons for discrepancies in production shortfall of oil. According to a statement made by OPEC, representatives of some OPEC and non-OPEC countries planned to meet on August 7-8 in Abu Dhabi in order to discuss why production ceilings are lagging behind.
At the meeting, which will be under the residency of Kuwait and Russia, the reasons why some countries do not fully implement the supply shortage of oil will be evaluated. According to the related sources, the representatives of some countries will be more likely to point out that OPEC is far more than the production of external resources to measure compliance.
Targets on production constraints are based on production estimates of six independent sources which are called secondary sources. When the shortage of production started in the last year, Iraq was found on the pretext that the estimates were inconsistent. According to the related sources, other OPEC countries also point to the poor performance of the secondary sources.
