Famous singer Phil Collins was injured in an accident in the hotel room when he was on his England tour.
World-renowned musician and actor Phil Collins lost his footsteps and keeled over in the bathroom of the hotel where he was on the UK tour. The 66-year-old star was injured and rushed to the London Hospital.
It is stated that the British singer who is stitched on his head may need to have an operation from his forehead. Collins, a well-known figure, announced to his fans that he had delayed the concert program for a while.
On the official Facebook page of Phil Collins, his manager made a statement saying “Phil is having difficulty in walking right now because of the operation he had. As he went to the bathroom at the hotel he was staying in, he was injured by losing his footsteps and falling into a chair in the room and he was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment and he is getting better now, and Phil apologizes for canceling his concerts and he sends his love to you.”
Born in London in 1951, Phil Collins became one of the most successful musicians in the world after having replaced Peter Gabriel as the face of Genesis in 1975. He released 13 U.S. Top Ten hits, including “In the Air Tonight,” “You Can’t Hurry Love” and “I Don’t Care Anymore” between 1984 and 1990.
Phil Collins also showed his talents as an actor. After the NBC police drama Miami Vice (1984) featured Phil Collins’ first single “In the Air Tonight” in one of its episodes, Collins made a guest appearance on the show. In 1988 he made his big screen debut in the film Buster.
These days, Phil Collins, a father of five children, is more a family man than a musician. In March 2011, he made the transition official when Collins, who battled a series of health issues including a spinal problem that forced him to stop playing the drums, announced he was retiring from music. Genesis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the same year.
