Queen got a raise

The budget allocated for the expenses of Queen Elizabeth II was raised by 8 per cent to 82.2 million pounds for the 2018-2019 periods by the British government. The share of Queen Elizabeth II in the United Kingdom budget has been increased by 8 percent annually.

Alan Reid, who is responsible for the financial affairs of Queen Elizabeth II, said Queen Elizabeth II represented the United Kingdom very well for the portion of the budget allocated to her.  He added “The queen’s total budget is about 65 pence per capita annually. This is the value of the first class signature.”

According to official figures, the sum of the official visits of Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family during the period 2016-2017 cost about 4.5 million pounds. Last year, visits by Prince Charles and his wife Camilla to Italy, Romania and Austria by the official plane “Cam Force One” totaled £ 154,000.

The rent income from all the assets of the royal family of the United Kingdom increased by £ 24.7 million in the period of 2016-2017 to a total of 328.8 million pounds. The £ 369 million budget for the renovation of Buckingham Palace, formerly owned by Elizabeth II, was previously announced. This budget will be spent on modernizing the heating, cooling and electrical infrastructure of the Buckingham Palace.
