Special award was given to Riot Games from British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Academy Award (BAFTA) which is considered as the “Oscars of the UK” has awarded Riot Games the ‘Special Award’ in the game category with the League of Legends game this year. In recognition of the player’s importance and contribution to the gaming industry, Riot Games was awarded the United Kingdom’s most prestigious award for the ceremony held in Los Angeles with Brandon Beck and Marc Merrill, founders and top managers of the company.
Riot Games, winning the BAFTA award to support every aspect of art created in the presence of motion pictures, was deserved to be judged by the jury to focus on creativity in the League of Legends game, addressing more than 100 million active players worldwide. Riot Games was previously awarded BAFTA awards in 2015 under the category of “The Most Enduring Game.”
